No. Your household is created automatically the first time you open the app – no email, no password. You only add an email address for the trial or a subscription, so your household can be recovered.

Settings has an invite code and a QR code. Whoever enters it joins the same household, with a shared plan and a shared grocery list. Joining works on every plan.
Suggestions and recipes are written by an AI and are marked as AI suggestions in the app. On top of that come your own recipes and a growing catalog that all households rate together.
Nothing automatic: you are never charged, since you never entered payment details. You stay on Free or choose Pro – everything you created is kept.
